Mind cars was an Industrial project developed for Modulab based on the initial concept of mind battle. Mind cars was a two-player game controlled at the neuroelectric level by its participants. Using a set of NeuroSky MindWave EEG headsets, the neural activity of the players is processed into speeding up or slowing down a miniature racing car. A more alert and engaged player had the odds of winning in his favor. I developed only the corresponding embedded software for the product. For the whole design and idea, Modulab is fully credited.

Application Description
If for the initial mind battle I had a project deadline of around a week, for transitioning the already existing software application to mind cars I only had one full day (or night to be precise) of work. Due to this time frame not being enough to set up a Raspberry Pi Zero and assemble another circuit board as the one from mind battle, I oversimplified the application by removing some of its features (filtering the data over multiple values) and then transitioned it to a small Atmega development board.
Final Product
You can see the final product in Figure 2, the racing track on top of the large table structure. The two miniature cars branded with the Renault Zoe logo (end-user client) are visible in Figures 3 and 4.
